What this is

A guide to the races on your Texas ballot. Every certified candidate from every party is listed, exactly as printed on the official ballot. Every claim links to a public record you can open and read yourself. When endorsements are added, they will be labeled as endorsements, with a link to the group that published them.

What this covers — and what it doesn’t

Every race on the Tarrant, Dallas, and Collin County ballots. All certified races, from U.S. Senate down to justice of the peace, with every candidate and party as certified.
No endorsement or campaign finance data yet. Those sections are empty for every candidate. Nothing is added until it can carry a link to the record it came from.
Three counties so far. Tarrant, Dallas, and Collin are the only ballots loaded. An address outside them will not match a precinct.

Privacy

Short version: this site has no server of its own, no accounts, and no database. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It sells nothing about you and carries no advertising.

Your address. When you use the address lookup, your address goes to exactly one place: the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoder at geocoding.geo.census.gov, which turns it into a map coordinate and sends it back. It travels inside the web address of that request, so the Census Bureau receives it. It is never sent to this site, never stored, and never logged. Matching the coordinate to your precinct happens entirely in your browser, and nothing about the lookup survives closing the page.

What loads on every visit. GitHub Pages hosts this site, Google Fonts serves the two typefaces, and Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views (Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors). Each of them sees your IP address, as any web request does, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.

The contact form sends your name, email address, and message through Formspree, which delivers it to us by email.
The email signup sends your email address to Buttondown, which runs the mailing list. It is used to send the newsletter. The list is not shared or sold, and every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Neither form is required to use the guide.
